FOREWORD

1. This handbook is approved for use by all Department and Agencies of the Department of

Defense (DoD).

2. This handbook is for guidance only. This handbook cannot be cited as a requirement. If it is, the contractor does not have to comply.

3. This handbook is intended to provide the Department of Defense design, engineering, maintenance, training personnel and government contractors access to a data base, via hyperlink, (https://www.afmc-pub.wpafb.af.mil/HQ-AFMC/LG/lgi-page/lgis/MIL300/Milindex.htm ) displaying DoD In-inventory Aerospace and Missile Support Equipment (SE). This data base will include a functional and technical description, associated technical orders, technical

manuals, or commercial catalogues, relationship to similar equipment, end item(s) this support equipment is used on, and a simple line drawing. For government contractors, the handbook database is intended to provide sufficient information on an piece of support equipment so that it may be considered for a contemplated application. Use of this data system is intended to provide for maximum usage of in-inventory assets, and the elimination of duplicate design or development of support equipment for different weapon systems.

4. Support equipment as applied here includes ground operation, handling, and servicing equipment. Support equipment is further defined as all equipment required to make a weapon system operational in its intended environment.

5. The changes in this revision are, the removal and digitization of the Support Equipment

Illustrations, and the addition of the hyperlink to the Technical Information File data base.
